Session Information & Fees

45-50 minutes
$275 per session

Psychotherapy services in California and Oregon are private pay as Erica does not accept any insurance plans.

You may have benefits through your insurance even if Erica is not in network with your plan. To find this out you will need to find out if you have what is called “out of network mental health benefits” as Erica would be considered an out of network mental health provider.  It is best to call your insurance directly to obtain this information.

Many PPO health insurance plans have these benefits. If you elect to use out of network benefits you will pay your therapist directly per session. You will be provided a receipt also referred to as a Superbill at the end of each month for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. The insurance company will then reimburse you all or a portion of the therapy session fee based upon your specific benefit plan.

Mental health services may also be covered by your HSA, Flex Plan, or Medical Savings Account.

Insurance in general can be confusing, do not hesitate to reach out to Erica to get your questions answered if the information provided here is
still unclear.

Erica also offers limited reduced fee spaces in her practice. If you feel Erica could be the therapist for you but need a fee reduction at this time, do not hesitate to ask. Payment is due at the time of each session, credit card, cash and personal checks are accepted.

Good Faith Estimate is a new law as of January 2022

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected fees for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.

24-Hour Cancellation Policy

In order to cancel or reschedule an appointment, you will need to notify your therapist at least 24 hours in advance of your appointment.  If you are unable to provide at least 24 hours notice in advance, you will be responsible for the full payment for the missed session. Your therapist especially reserves your appointment time just for you and cannot potentially fill your session time without enough notice.

An illness or emergency situation will void the 24-Hour Cancellation Policy.
